Alma L. Gonzalez, 75, of Lecanto, FL passed away on August 1, 2020 after a long battle with Multiple Myeloma. She was born on April 13, 1945 in Havana, Cuba, the daughter of Joaquin and Milagros Cardona. She came to the United States at age 5 and was raised in the Bronx, NY.
Alma retired from the Florida Highway Patrol as a Duty Officer Supervisor. She was a lifelong New York Yankees fan. She loved to sketch, salsa dance, and cook. Alma was close to her family and enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandchild. Survivors include; her children, Alma Judge (Mark) of Homosassa, FL, Reynold “Rey” Gonzalez (Joe Coggins) of Seattle, Washington, and Adria Byers (Milton) of Lecanto, FL; a brother, Jimmy Cardona (Donna); four grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
