Andrew Karaffa

Andrew E. Karaffa, Jr., age 82, of  Lecanto, FL died Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at his residence. Andrew was born in Scranton, PA on October 16, 1931,the son of  Andrew and Anna Karaffa.  He was a letter carrier for the

U S Postal Service and a veteran of the U S Air Force. Andrew was a member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, Crystal River, FL where he was an usher and a member of the Knights of Columbus council 15225.

Andrew was preceded in death by his wife Gloria, brothers; John, Joseph and Edward, and sister Mary. He is survived by his sister Teresa Denero, Lake Worth, FL; and nephews, Walter Denero and wife Kimberly, Lake Worth, FL, Joseph Denero and wife Mindi, Lithra, FL.

A funeral mass for Mr. Karaffa will be held at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, Crystal River, FL on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 10:00 AM.

Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell with military honors provided by Inverness VFW post  4337.
