Ann Manganelli, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at home in Inverness, Florida after a brief illness. She died on Friday, September 2, 2022. She was 102 years old.
Ann was born on August 17, 1920, in Mount Vernon, NY. Her parents were Vincenzo and Thomasina (Isola) Mollicone. She was predeceased by nine of her siblings. She is survived by a brother, Nunzie Mollicone.
Ann was married to Alfred Manganelli for 44 years. He died in 1987. Before coming to live in Florida, Ann resided in Carmel, NY where she was active in the Seniors Group at St. James Church. She participated in monthly luncheons and managed the sausage and peppers booth at the annual church picnic.
She is survived by her daughter, Rommy Cuneo and son-in-law, Robert; her grandchildren, Kathleen Cuneo and her husband Dominic Ferro, Christopher Cuneo and his partner Patricia Trunnel, Kammie Cuneo, Stephen Cuneo and his wife Erica, Richard Cuneo, and Kerry and her husband Michael Arisio; and seven great grandchildren, Jacqueline, Rebecca and Nicola Ferro, Micaela, Mariah, Nathaniel and Arman Cuneo; as well as by several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Inverness at 10:30 AM, on September 15, 2022. Interment will be at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, NY.
Three words to sum up her life might be: FAMILY, her number one priority, FOOD, a wonderful cook and baker who always shared abundantly of her offerings, and FRIENDS, of which she had many.
