Brian Sawyer

SSG. Brian Peter Sawyer, 33, of New Port Richey, FL passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019 in Fort Lewis, Washington. Brian was born on November 5, 1985 in Clearwater, Florida, the son of Gary and Susan Sawyer.  He was a member of the Gulf High School Graduating Class of 2004.  Brian joined the US Army in September 2010.  He was stationed at Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, Georgia before transferring to Ft. Wainwright, Alaska.

Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Jessica Sawyer of Spring Hill, FL; four children Addison, Emmett, Jacob and Alex Sawyer all of Spring Hill, FL; his parents Gary and Susan Sawyer of New Port Richey, FL; brother Adam Sawyer of New Port Richey, FL; sister Sarah Sawyer of New Port Richey, FL and grandmothers Jean Sawyer and Irene Mandity both of New Port Richey, FL.

Brian’s family will receive friends from 10:30 am to the hour of service at First United Methodist Church in New Port Richey, Florida with  Funeral Services for SSG. Brian P. Sawyer following at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church in New Port Richey, FL.  Military Honors by the US Army Ft. Stewart Honor Guard will follow the funeral services at the church.
