Carol Ann Seefeld

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved grandmother Carol

Ann Seefeld, on 12/11/24 in Lecanto, Citrus County Florida at 84 years old. Carol was

known for most of her adult life as Carol Chacon, born on 03/14/1940 in Everett

Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Francis Deveau and Barbara Moynihan. Carol

grew up in Massachusetts, got married to her former husband Ivory Allen whom she had

5 children with. She raised 5 children primarily on her own and worked multiple jobs to

support her family. While working multiple jobs, Carol went to school and earned her

master’s degree in psychology at Cambridge College and ultimately went on to be a

senior paralegal. For most of her career she worked at Greater Boston Legal services

representing disabled clients and received awards for her empathy, devotion and

patience towards helping others. Carol accumulated coworkers into family. After retiring

she dreamed of being in the warmth and sunshine of Florida and found her oasis in

Beverly Hills, Florida. She enjoyed going on cruises, volunteering at Citrus County

Sheriff’s Department, shopping, gardening, attending and being an active member of the

church, as well as spending time with her children, grandchildren and great

grandchildren. Her strong and unmatched humorous personality radiated through every

room she entered and every heart she touched. Her spirit will forever be remembered and

embedded through fond memories of Carol's silliness, compassionate nature and the

amazing women and role model she was for all who were lucky to know her. She is

survived by her children Kevin, Thomas, Elaine, Howard, and Maryjane, brother Obie

O’Brien, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will

be held on January 2, 2025, 12pm at Heinz Funeral Home followed by Oak Ridge

Cemetery at 1:30pm. 2507 Highway 44 W Inverness, FL 34453. In lieu of flowers

memorials can be made to a charity of your choice or Citrus County Sheriff's office.
