Denis Jackson

Denis C. Jackson, 82, of Hernando, FL died on September 8, 2016 at his home.  Denis was born on August 10, 1934 in Greeley, CO, the son of Marvin and Caroline Jackson.  He was a third generation flour miller.  Denis moved to Hernando, FL in 1997 from Nazareth, PA.  He was a very active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.  Denis loved his computer and golfing.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Sondra Jackson of Hernando, FL; five children, Charles Jackson of Salina, KS, Steven Jackson and wife Michele of Lockport, NY, Denise Stephan of Williamsville, NY, David Jackson of Hernando, FL, and Kenneth Jackson and Lori DuVall of Amhurst, NY; four grandchildren, Chelsea Jackson of Salina, KS, Benjamin and Caroline Jackson, both of Lockport, NY, and Timothy Stephan of Clarence, NY; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jeri and Darrell Snedecor of Hernando, FL.

Funeral services for Mr. Jackson will be held at 11:00 a.m on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Hernando.  Mr. Jackson’s family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 until the hour of services.  Interment will be at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville, MD.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 439 E.
