Dorothy Rogers

Dorothy L. Rogers, 92, formerly of Inverness, Florida and Delphos, Ohio died Thursday April 28 ^th , 2016 at Winter Haven Hospital from surgical complications. She was born on May 28, 1924 in Erie County, Ohio to John Terry and Lillian Smith Terry. Dorothy was an LPN and spent a great deal of time devoted to her extended family in service to God, instilling much spiritual wisdom. Having spent her early years in an orphanage afforded her a great deal of perseverance and a love to serve others with integrity and through the spirit of the Holy Ghost.  Dorothy was a former member of First United Presbyterian Church of Delphos, Ohio and former member of the Eastern Star.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Dow A. Rogers, and brothers Melvin Terry and John Terry. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Rogers of Winter Haven, Florida; son Terry Rogers and his wife, Vicki of Brandon, Florida. Grandchildren Jeff Rogers and his wife, Lori; Stephanie Astuto and her husband Brian; Brandon Rogers and his fiancé Allison, Mike Rogers and his wife Cathleen, her great-grandchildren; Justin McKinney, Alexis Rogers, Isaiah Astuto, Jonah Astuto, and Mason Rogers, sister Lynn Weiland and her husband Ed of Curtis, Ohio along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday May 7 ^th at 11:00am at Heinz Funeral Home, 2507 Hwy 44 W, Inverness, FL.  Family will accept friends from 10:00 am until the hour of service. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos, Ohio. Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness, FL.
