Estelle H. Brown 79, of  NJ, formerly of Inverness, FL died on February 18, 2014 at Bergen County Healthcare Center.

Estelle was born on June 3, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of  Frederick and Estelle Strubel.  She moved to Inverness, FL in 1978 from Hillside, MD. Estelle worked for various banks over the years. She retired in

1999 from Brannen Banks where she spent over twenty years in the bookkeeping department. Estelle was a veteran of the United States Army and member of the Women’s Army Corp Veterans Assoc. Chapter 78 in Crystal River, FL.

She was an active parishioner and volunteer at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Inverness, FL.

Estelle moved to New Jersey in 2008 to be closer to her son.

Ms. Brown was preceded in death by her brother Gustav. Survivors include her son, Steven Brown of Ogdensburg, NJ; sister; Doris and her husband Mark Edgar of  Edgewater MD, niece; Kellie Feck of Sykesville, MD and nephews; Chris Edgar of Edgewater, MD and Michael Amrhein of  Las Vegas, NV.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Heinz Funeral Home on Tuesday, Feb 25, 2014.  The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 am. at Our Lady of  Fatima Catholic Church, Inverness, FL. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the New York City Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. 360 Lexington Avenue, 4th Floor, New York, New York 10017.
