Evelyn King

Evelyn King (Neubert), 91, of Inverness, passed away Monday October 25, 2021. Evelyn was born on September 3, 1930 in Knoxville TN and moved to Inverness in 1996 with her husband and two daughters (Lionel, Joyce, and Mary). Evelyn wanted out of the cold and her husband accepted a teaching (band) position at Citrus High School. When her youngest daughter began school Evelyn returned to work as the guidance secretary at Inverness Middle School. She remained in that position until her retirement in 1995. She and her husband loved to travel and went back to the smokies every July to visit family and enjoy the mountains.

Family was very important to Evelyn. She was preceded in death by her oldest grandson Jason Seijas (98), her husband Lionel (2011), her baby bother Fritz (2011), and her oldest daughter Joyce (2021). She is survived by her daughter Mary Hiers (James) of Inverness, her granddaughter Danielle King (Ryan) of IN and their six children , Adriana, Jayson, Kendyn, Layla, Nolan and Grayson, and her grandson Zack Seijas of Orlando.

Evelyn will be laid to rest at Oaklawn Cemetery in Knoxville TN at a later date.
