Frank M. Hill, III, 72, of Inverness, FL died on January 21, 2015 at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. Frank was born on October 4, 1942 in Birmingham, AL, son of Helen and Frank Hill, II. Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a licensed funeral director for the Duval Funeral Home in Tampa, FL. Later in life, he became a firefighter and paramedic for the City of Tampa. Frank retired as a rescue chief after 27 years. He moved to Inverness in 2012 from Tampa, FL. Frank was a member of Sertoma Tampa. He taught CPR and emergency training at Hillsborough Community College and the American Heart Association.
Frank was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Hill. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Linda Hill of Inverness, FL; daughters Sandra Broadstone and husband Steve of Tampa, FL and Victoria Davenport of Hayesville, NC; son Thomas Hill and wife Karen of Rossville, GA; and seven grandchildren, Danielle Harrison and husband Mike of Tampa, FL, Colin Broadstone of Cherry Point, NC, Lexie Davenport of Young Harris, GA, Katelyn Hill of Mulberry, FL, T.J. Davenport of Hayesville, NC, and Jillian Hill of Mulberry, FL.
A memorial service for Mr. Hill will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Heinz Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL with military honors. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast.
