Gail Schielke

Mrs. Gail G. Schielke, 73, of Lecanto, FL passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018 in Brooksville.  She was born on June 26, 1945 in Kendallville, Indiana, daughter of the late Rev. Eugene and Gertrude Gunther.

Mrs. Schielke lived in Indiana, Illinois, England, Wisconsin, Texas, and Missouri, and moved to Citrus County from St. Louis, Missouri in 2000.  She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Lecanto.  Her hobbies included singing in choir, volunteering at church, working with her plants, and working with children.   Her greatest joy often came from spending time with her children, grandchildren and many friends.  She was a kind, loving and extremely generous woman who would give whatever she could to those in need. She had a servant's heart and instilled that in both of her children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband,  Reverend Frederick W. Schielke; and brother, John Gunther.

Survivors include her son, Reverend Dr. Philip Schielke and his wife Kerri of Austin, TX; a daughter, Rachel Patterson and her husband Christopher of Crystal River, FL; two sisters, Mary Hoelter and her husband Thomas of Wausau, WI and Hope Biehl and her husband William of Union Grove, WI; as well as five grandchildren, Jacob, Benjamin and Esther Schielke; Zachary and Bradley Patterson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Schielke's family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, December 18, 2018 until the hour of the Funeral Service, beginning at 11:30 AM at the Faith Lutheran Church in Lecanto, FL. Interment will be held at 11:30 on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Heinz Funeral Home and Cremation.
