Gerald E. “Butch” “Jamie” Jamieson, Jr. died June 29, 2018 at his home. He was born September 19, 1948 in Pennsylvania, the son of Imogene and Gerald E. Jamieson, Sr. Gerald served in the United States Army as a SPEC 5 (Specialty Sargent Fifth Class). He served in Vietnam 1969-1970 as a field artillery ballistic meteorologist. Gerald was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring after 35 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going fishing, watching sports, bowling, horseshoes and his meal of choice; cheeseburgers with ketchup only. Gerald was a loving husband, loving father, grandfather, uncle, caring friend, and big brother.
He is survived by his wife, of 45 years, Sue Jamieson, daughter; Peggy Sue Fenton and her husband Shawn of Homosassa, Fl., grandson; Timmothy John Jamieson Fenton, sister; Marguerite Rice and her husband William of New Port, TN. Also one brother; Jamie Lee Jamieson and his wife Phoebe of Greenville, OH along with their three daughters; Lindsey Hunt, Jamie Lee Fry, Carrie Jamieson and grandnephews Nathan and Josiah and grandniece Gabrielle. Gerald will be loved and remembered by many.
A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 14th 1pm-4 at Fort Cooper Park in Inverness, FL.
