Helen S. Van Emburg, 94, of Inverness, FL, died on Friday, December 23, 2016 at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Helen was born on July 31, 1922 in Brass Castle, New Jersey. She married Roscoe L. Van Emburg in 1946 and together they raised three daughters. Helen was a Toll Collector for the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission. She retired to Inverness, Florida in 1991 from Phillipsburg, NJ.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Roscoe in 2009. She is survived by her three daughters, Cheryl Van Emburg-Fichtner and her husband Gustav of Oberalm, Austria, Judith Carberry and her husband Paul of Charleston, SC and Susan Van Emburg of Manasquan, NJ; two grandchildren Jennifer Stampe and her husband Joseph of Allentown, NJ and Paul Carberry, Jr. and his wife Krista of New York, NY; three great granddaughters Alaina, Brenna and Keria Stampe all of Allentown, NJ.
Helen's family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 10:00 am until the service at 12:00 noon at the Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness, FL. Interment at Florida National Cemetery will be private. Heinz Funeral Home, heinzfh.com
