Howard Walsh

Howard B. Walsh, 87, of Hernando, FL, died on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Hospice of the Nature Coast House in Lecanto.  Howard was born August 10, 1930 in Coral Gables, FL, son of William and Hazel Walsh.  He was a Traffic Engineering Supervisor for Broward County, FL. Howard moved to Hernando in 1992 from Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church in Lecanto.

Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Walsh.  Survivors include his son, Howard “Jay” Walsh and wife Christine of Plantation, FL; three daughters, Susan Jacobs of Quartzsite, AZ, Roberta Flash and husband Joe Zdanowiscz of Light House Point, FL, and Laurie Hill and husband Jimmy of Lake City, FL; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Shefferman and husband Danny of Plantation, FL and Jeffery Walsh of Plantation, FL; and two great grandchildren, Shelby Shefferman and Ryder Shefferman, both of Plantation, FL; and companion, Janet Esworthy.

A funeral service for Mr. Walsh will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Heinz Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service.  Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens South in Ft.
