James Davis

James (Jim) Davis, 75, of Lecanto, FL passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, January 19, 2014 under the loving care of Hospice of Citrus County. Jim was born on April 17, 1938 in Blackwater, MO, the son of Vernon and Alfrieda Davis. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Jim was preceded in death by his brothers, Norbie, Virgil, and Eddie, and sister, Rosemary. He leaves behind his loving wife, Rosie; daughter, Carla Sheetz and her husband, Steve of Rockwall, TX; step-children, Gina Schoenenberger and husband, Dan of Hoffman Estates, IL and Michele Sortor and husband, Sean of Chesterfield, MO; brothers, Martin, Roger, Steve, and Bob; and sister, Betty. Funeral services for Mr. Davis will be at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the Heinz Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the hour of services. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with the procession leaving the funeral home at 9:30.
