James P. Doran

It is with great sadness that we announce James P. Doran, Jr, age 80, passed away on September 20,2023 with his family by his side. “Jimmy” was born on February 11,1943 in Queens, New York to Mary Agnes and James Doran, Sr. 

After moving to Hauppauge, NY, Jimmy opened his own business, a Coffee Truck, which he owned for 35 + years. He worked as “the coffee man” at the Long Island Railroad Massapequa Station. 

 In 2005, Jimmy and Joanne retired and moved to Arbor Lakes in Hernando, FL.  

His hobbies and interests included boating, hunting, keeping track of his stocks, playing games with his grandchildren and photography. 

James is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joanne, son Kenneth, daughter Deborah and her husband Joseph, daughter Michelle, five cherished grandchildren, Jordan, Lindsay, Anthony, Brandon and Brooklyn, and his sister Marilyn. 

James was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Agnes Doran, James Doran, Sr, sister Agnes Gajda and brother-in-law Chester Gajda. 

The funeral service will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Citrus Springs, FL on Saturday, September 30th at 10:00 am. A Luncheon will follow at 1:00 pm at The Arbor Lakes Clubhouse.
