Janet L. Luther

Janet Lee Ramsey Luther, of Floral City, FL, went with the Lord on December 4, 2023. She was born in Altoona, PA to Wilson R. and Doris Dehuff Ramsey on February 7, 1945.

She will be sadly missed by her husband of 60 years, Bill Luther; sons, John (Angela) and Daniel Luther; daughter, Pamela (Colin) Snyder; grandchildren Jessica (Kevin) Dively, Breanna (Steven) Calhoun, and George Lang; great grandsons, Killian Dively and Liam Calhoun; and sister, Linda (Milton) Betting.

Janet graduated from Altoona High School class of 63. After raising three children, she went back to Vo Tech to earn her CNA license. She worked in nursing homes and private practice.

Janet loved gardening, flowers, and veggies. She also loved quilting, sewing, drawing, painting, and bicycling. She belonged to the Oaks Quilters, St Patricks, Quilters in Newry, PA, Legion of Mary, Divine Mercy/Rosary Makers. Over the years she has made hundreds of baby blankets and lap blankets for hospitals, nursing homes, orphanages, and pregnancy centers. She loved spending time with family. Loved and missed by ALL. 

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM, on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness.
