Jean Racine

HERNANDO - Jean M. Racine, 66, died Friday, July, 5, 2013 in her home.
Born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts on July 4, 1947, Jean is the daughter of Irene Bernard (Gingras) of Westfield, MA and the late Louis Bernard.
Jean was a 1965 graduate of Westfield High School.  She worked for 37 years at Dow Jones & Company, Inc. where she was the Production Editor of Barron's News.  Her love of reading lead her to volunteer at the Central Ridge Library, where she served as the Director of the Friends program since 2005, and Editor of the Friends newsletter.  She was also on the Friends of the Citrus County Library System Board of Directors since 2006 and managed the book sales, in addition to many other important roles.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 37 years , Gerald Racine, a stepson, Ryan Racine of Chicopee, MA, a stepdaughter, Kerry Racine, of Holyoke, MA, a sister, Linda Racine of Holland, MA, a niece, Elizabeth Racine of Holland, MA, a nephew, Jason Pitoniak, of Rochester, NY, a brother in- law, and two sisters in-law.
The memorial services for Jean will be held at the convenience of the family.  Memorial donations in Jean's honor may be made to Friends of Central Ridge Library, 425 West Roosevelt Blvd, Beverly Hills, FL
