Joan Cotto

Joan S. Cotto, 83, of Hernando, FL, passed away on March 11, 2021. She was born on October 27, 1937 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, daughter of the late Glenn and Naomi Sickler.

Joan worked as a music teacher and organist at church. Her passion was playing the piano. She spent her spare time doing puzzles and was great at Sudoku.  She had a weakness for York Peppermint Patties and ice cream.  Joan was always smiling, caring and especially loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, David Kent, sister, Bonnie Roeland, and husband of 28 years, Victor Cotto.  Survivors include three daughters, Vicki Cotto, Lori Lyon, Christi Cotto; son-in-law, Keith Lyon; two grandchildren, Brittany Lyon and Briana Goldberger and her husband Greg; as well as one great grandchild, Avery Goldberger.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, 03/21/2021 at 1 PM at Heinz Funeral Home, 2507 Hwy 44 W, Inverness, FL 34453.
