John Hild

John R. Hild, Sr. , 71, of Crystal River, FL, died on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Hospice of Citrus County  House in Lecanto, FL. John was born on May 12, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of John H. and Audrey (Mercer) Hild. He was a US Marine Corp Veteran. John retired as Captain of the Philadelphia Fire Department. He was also a Safety Inspector for Marriot Corporation.  John moved to Inverness, FL in 2003 from SW Philadelphia. He was a member of the Moose and the Elks. John was an avid fisherman and Philadelphia Flyers fan.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Sara (Sally) Hild of Crystal River, FL; sons,

John Jr., Levittown, PA; William (Kelly), Oxford, PA, Douglas (Dawn), Oxford, PA; Dennis (Carolyn), Clifton, VA,  daughter in law, Cindy Williams Hild, sister, Beverly Brown, Crystal River, FL, grandchildren John III, Timothy, Sean, Douglas, Michael, Emmy, Mandi and Megan.

Services for Mr. Hild will be held at 4 PM, Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Beverly Hills Community Church, 82 Civic Circle Beverly Hills, FL.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice of the Nature Coast. Arrangements by Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness, FL
