John Lombard

John M. Lombard, 74 of Hernando, Florida, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 in Lecanto, FL.  He was born on September 20, 1944 in Worcester, Massachusetts, son of the late Louis and Helen Lombard.

Mr. Lombard moved to Citrus County from Massachusetts in 1987. He was a member of the Citrus County Realtors Association. He loved playing golf and riding Harleys. John was a veteran of the US Navy who served during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Lois Lombard; two daughters, Jody Gerwe of Jacksonville, FL and Jacky Jones of Dover, FL; three brothers, Robert Lombard, Richard Lombard and Gary Lombard; a sister, Sandra Crowley; as well as three grandchildren, Bradley Jones, William Gerwe and Elizabeth Gerwe.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Lombard will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the Heinz Funeral Home, Inverness, FL with Father James Johnson presiding.  Mr. Lombard’s family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment with military honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of Memorial donations to Vitas Hospice in Lecanto, formerly Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast.
