John O'Leary

John Joseph O’Leary, 84, of Inverness, FL, born 1/16/1931 in Providence, RI, and entered Life Triumphant on 10/6/2015 at the HPH Hospice Care Center in Lecanto, FL.
Survived by his wife of 65 years, Jeannette O’Leary. Son of the late John O’Leary Sr. and Elsie O’Leary (Wickland).
John lived in Warwick, RI for 62 years. He worked as a Maintenance Mechanic for Cib Geigy and University of RI. John lived for his Family and Children. He never missed an opportunity to tell them of his love for them and his pride in their accomplishments. He carried this on to his grandchildren whom were all very close with him.
John retired to Wilmington, NC for 13 years. He was instrumental in developing a church in the Wilmington area, along with his wife Jeanette. He moved to Inverness, FL in 2006 to be closer to family. He has been an active member of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
John is survived by his brother Michael O’Leary (Gail O’Leary) of Reading, PA and five children. Peggy McAteer (Robert McAteer) of Neptune Beach, FL, Cerry Kocak (Bob Kocak) of Middleburg, FL, John Skipper O’Leary (Judy O’Leary) of White Marsh, VA, Jace O’Leary (Deborah O’Leary) of Inverness, FL, and Bernadette Polichetti (Josef Polichetti) of Warwick, RI. Twelve Grandchildren, Justin Flamion, Shannyn Studstill, Mindy Flamion, Nathan McAteer, Misty Davis, John Paul Flamion, Joel Brown, Jace O’Leary, Patrick O’Leary, Kevin Brown, Shane O’Leary and Noah O’Leary. Two Step-grandchildren, Jarod Kocak and Kelli Kocak. Three Great-grandchildren, Skyler Davis, Trent Studstill and Brody Studstill and three Step-great-grandchildren, Tristen Kocal, Tredyn Kocak and Amara Martinda.
There will be a Funeral Mass held at Our Lady of Fatima Church at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2015. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to HPH Hospice, 2939 W. Gulf to Lake Highway, Lecanto, FL 34461.
