John M. Wheeler, “Jack”, age 89, of Inverness, FL., died Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. Jack was born in Flint, Michigan on January 29, 1926 the son of Ros and Fern Wheeler. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of WWII. Jack was a entrepreneur and manufacturing representative for several sheet metal fabricating companies which included a large territory across the Midwest. More than anything, Jack loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them especially on his boat whether it be on the Great lakes, Georgian Bay or the Gulf of Mexico. He had a passion for electronics. He moved to Inverness in1990 from St. Petersburg, F Jack was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years , Margaret Wheeler, six children; Mary Margaret Wheeler of Inverness, FL, Karen Jorda, of Weston, FL, Dennis Wheeler and his wife Penny of Seminole, FL, Brian Wheeler and his wife Maurine of Odessa, FL, Dean Wheeler and his wife Barbara of Inverness, FL, Kristi DePaul and her husband Jeff of Land O’ Lakes, FL, one brother Donald Wheeler, Denver, NC, 12 grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. A service for Jack will be held at Florida National Cemetery on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Those wishing to attend may gather at the funeral home on Thursday July 30th by 10:00 AM.
