Joseph C. Spoto, Sr.

Joseph C. Spoto Sr., 85, of Beverly Hills, FL, passed away on January 30, 2025. He was born in Elizabeth, NJ, on February 16, 1939, to the late Salvatore and Marie Spoto.

He worked as a police officer. He was a US Marines veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his dogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley; and his son, Anthony; and son-in-law, Paul.

Survivors include two sons, Doug Arms (Laura) and Joseph Spoto, Jr. (Dorri); two daughters, Faith Ries and Mary Spoto; a sister, Jean Triola (Jimmy); his significant other, Patti Hoxie Morse; 10 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Our Lady of Grace Church in Beverly Hills. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM, at Heinz Funeral Home in Inverness. Mr. Spoto will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at a later date.
