Joseph A. Tenuto

Joseph Anthony Tenuto aka “Skip”, age 73, passed on April 9, 2022. He was born in Huntington, L.I., NY on July 8, 1948 where he graduated from Huntington High School and owned and operated a construction and demolition business, while also serving as a volunteer fireman and a part-time bartender. Skip has been a resident of Florida since 1974 working as a superintendent of construction of bridges and overpasses, including the rebuilding of the Sunshine Skyway bridge, until his retirement at age 55.
Skip was predeceased by his father, Joseph R. Tenuto, his mother, Anastasia Tenuto, and his brother, Ricky Tenuto. He is survived by a daughter, Tiffany Valone, son-in-law, Michael Valone, two grandsons, Andrew and Nathan Valone, and a granddaughter, Ashlyn Valone.
A short graveside service will take place at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, April 20th at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Inverness. Services are being handled by Heinz Funeral Home in Inverness. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace, FL.
