Kathryn L Hill

Kathryn L. Hill, 72, of Lakeland, FL, passed away on September 5, 2023. She was born in Bentree, WV, on May 17, 1951, to the late Clayton and Ruby O’Dell.

In her 30’s, Kathryn cared for people with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. She received her degree in LPN nursing from Montgomery, WV College at age 42.  Although she wished to continue her education to become an RN, life events prevented her from doing so.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Scott Hill, and granddaughter, Kasey Bishop.

Survivors include her children; son, William “Bill” Richard Bishop, daughter, Kimberley Kathleen Bishop; stepsons, George Hill and Spencer Hill; grandchildren, Aaron Bishop, Johnna Greer and Codi Hardy; sister, Peggy Bailey; and nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Kathryn was a giving and kind women that stood up for those who couldn't stand up for themselves. She endured and overcame many hardships. Knowing that the good Lord finally called her home once she had fulfilled his calling here on Earth, brought her to peace. 

Her ashes will be going home to be buried with her husband and family in the family cemetery. Where ceremonies will be arranged for friends and family to pay their respects.
