Kimberly Smith

August 26, 1966 — August 15, 2018

Tampa

Kimberly Brady Smith, 51, of Tampa, Florida died on August 15, 2018, in Lecanto, Florida.  She was the favorite (so she said) daughter of Donald & Patricia Brady and was born on August 26, 1966.  She is survived by her husband, Randy Smith, her sons Jacob Smith, Nicholas Smith, and Alec Smith and his wife Alyssa, and her grandson Alduin Smith, all of Tampa, Florida; her parents, Don & Pat Brady of Inverness, Florida; her brother, David Brady and his wife Ada of Inverness, FL; Karen Allen and her husband John of Inverness, Florida; Kristen Powell and her husband John of Dayton, Ohio; sister-in-law, Linda Jones and her husband Bill of New Hampshire; one aunt, Sandy Blackmore; nieces and nephews Stephanie, Ashley, Brandon, Jasmine, Joshua, Jessica, Alexandra and Paige; cousins Jeff Blackmore and his wife Teresa, Jeanette Easterling; and her extended family Julie McDowell, Teresa Messino, Anito Coto, Ronnie Stanchina, Betsy Freeman, Josie Coppolino, and of course Eric and Sarah Keller.  She was a financial accountant and was employed by J.P. Morgan Chase.

She was a magnificent person who loved her family and friends, and showed us how to demand the best things out of life.  She loved to travel, anywhere, anytime, for pleasure or even for work.  She even liked moving, especially from New Jersey.  She and her husband of 32 years lived in Ohio, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Arizona, and Florida.  She managed to work, raise 3 boys (and a husband), moved 9 times, cared for numerous dogs, cats, rabbits, rats, and even a pet snake, all while working and completing her Accounting degree.  She traveled to the Caribbean, India, Philippines, Japan, England, Scotland, and Germany – literally across the world, which she loved.  She enjoyed quality food of all types, and good company to share it with. She played cards and cheated quite well.  She could perform magic at work, especially with reconciliation processes and access databases, though she rarely wasted her time with amounts lower than billions of dollars.  She was a leader and no-nonsense business woman, at work and at home, and always willing to share valuable advice.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made in Kimberly’s name to the Humane Society of Citrus County at http://www.humanesocietycitrus.com/ or any local animal shelter.
