Laura Mathews

Laura E. Mathews , 77, of Lecanto, FL passed away on August 28, 2017 under the loving care of her family at Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast House in Lecanto.  Laura was born on September 25, 1939 in Jeannette, PA, daughter of Carl and Marion Earhart.  She was a hardworking, God loving woman.  In her lifetime she worked in a glass factory, a machine shop, a clothing factory, was a certified beautician, a school bus driver, performed as a driver’s license examiner, and was a transportation director at an assisted living facility.  Laura lived in Citrus County for 29 years.  She will be missed by family and friends.

Mrs. Mathews was preceded in death by her brother Carl Earhart.  She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gary Mathews of Lecanto, FL.

A graveside service for Mrs. Mathews will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont, PA.  Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness, FL. heinzfh.com
