It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lonnie Del Lockhart of Crystal River, Florida, on December 10, 2023. Born December 29, 1954, in the city of Tampa, Florida. Lonnie was a dedicated son, a loving father, and a proud grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Lonnie is survived by his two daughters: Stacey Lockhart, wife of Roy Moyer Jr. of Harrisburg, PA, and Sara Reese, wife of Robert Reese of Melbourne, FL. He is also survived by his sister, Karen Fenske, wife of Hans, and two grandchildren, Jasmyne Lockhart-Moyer and Corbin Reese.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Lockhart, and his twin brother, Donnie Lockhart.

Lonnie served in the U.S Air Force for 6 years, where he developed strong values of loyalty, discipline, and dedication to duty. After his military service, Lonnie pursued a career installing communication satellites worldwide. His technical expertise and attention to detail made him a highly respected professional in his field. Outside of work, Lonnie had a variety of hobbies that brought him joy. He had a passion for music, enjoyed working on cars, and loved to travel. He had a soft spot for dogs and was known for his collection of antiques and other unique items.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 26, 2024, at Heinz Funeral Home in Inverness, Florida. Following the service, military honors will be conducted at 11:30 A.M. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. The ceremony will pay tribute to Lonnie's service to his country.

He will forever be remembered as a generous, thoughtful, and intelligent individual who brought laughter and love into the lives of those around him.
