Mamie Marie Guthrie passed away on April 8, 2015 at HPH Hospice in Lecanto, Florida.

Mamie was born February 25, 1926 in Erie, Pennsylvania the youngest of eight siblings to Joseph and Mamie (Casata) Ciminnisi. She worked the majority of her life in retail sales at both Sears and Roebuck Company and Wilson Shoe store in Orlando, Florida.

She was predeceased by her eldest son, Thomas L. Hogan who suffered from Multiple Sclerosis. He succumbed to the disease in 2012 after 40 years of declining health.

Mamie is survived by her additional sons; James Hogan and wife Linda of Anniston, Alabama; and Joseph Koch of Erie, PA; and by her daughter Carole ( Kay) A. Howard and husband John, of Beverly Hills, Florida. Kay was her caregiver for 12 years, while she lived at Brentwood Assisted Living Facility in Lecanto, Florida.

Funeral Services are being handled by Heinz Funeral Home of Inverness, Florida and her cremated remains will be interred at St. Gregory’s Cemetery in North East, Pennsylvania next to her son Thomas Hogan’s grave. No additional services are planned, but any donations should be sent to HPH Hospice, 2939 Gulf to Lake Hwy, Lecanto, FL 34461.
