Margaret Davis

Margaret “Peggy” G. Davis , 87, of Lecanto, FL died on Monday, February 8, 2016 at her home in Black Diamond.  Peggy was born on November 9, 1928 in Hudson, MA, daughter of Harold and Ruth Gibbs.  She was a member of the Pinkerton Academy Association, Class of 1945 in Derry, NH.  Peggy was a registered nurse and received her Master’s Degree in Psychology.   She retired from Sarasota Memorial Hospital.  Peggy moved to Lecanto, FL in 1998 from Sarasota, FL.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar B. Davis, III, son Stephen A. Davis, daughter Sandra Judi Piper, sisters, Bertha Gifford, Leah Frye and Judy Tyler.  Survivors include her children, Sharon L. Roell and husband David of Bradenton, FL, Edgar B. Davis IV of Crystal River, FL, Daniel H. Davis of Sarasota, FL, Susan Davis Wilkes of Portland, OR, Anthony J. Davis of Sunrise, FL, Margaret Ruth Schlabach and husband Jarey of Lecanto, FL, and Nancy C. Gravley and husband David of Crestview, FL; thirteen grandchildren, Sandi Roell, Stephen Roell, Todd A. Piper, Traci Piper, Joshua Davis, Daniel Wilkes, Jason Wilkes, Anthony J. Davis, Chad E. Davis, Morgan E. Davis, Julia Margaret Schlabach, Catherine Ruth Schlabach, and Meghan L. Kraus; seven great grandchildren, Devon Connor Roell, Logan Reynolds, Braxton Reynolds, Margaret Pearl Wilkes, Juliette Rose Wilkes, Brody Davis, and Adilyn Jade Kraus; and one great granddaughter, Skylit May Roell.

A memorial service for Mrs. Davis will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church in Lecanto, FL.  Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery in Derry, NH at a later date.  Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness, FL.
