Marguerite (Lawler) Hadley, 89, of Inverness, Fl. passed away July 12, 2014 under the loving care of HPH Hospice, Lecanto. She was born on August 17, 1924 in the City of New York to Miriam Richards and Houston La Roy Ikerd.
She first began her career in the medical field in 1958 in the state of New Jersey. She later moved to Marathon (Keys) FL. working as a phlebotomist. She made Inverness Fl. her permanent residence in the 1970’s. She had a long fulfilling career of 37 years at Citrus Memorial Hospital. She was among the first females to work in the Laboratory.
She joined the First Lutheran Church of Inverness in 1970 and was very active as a greeter, serving on many various church boards, and loved singing in the choir. In her spare time, she enjoyed being a charter member of the Lions Club, was a member of the Red Hat Society, enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family and friends.
She was a kind, loving, selfless person, who enjoyed helping others, and always greeting everyone with a warm smile and a God Bless You.
She is survived by her sons: John Lawler and wife Tina, Jorge and Peter Kuznetzoff. Grandchildren: Chelby Lawler, Valerie Carbonara, Jorge, Linda, Peter Kuznetzoff. Great Grandchildren: Amanda and Vito Carbonara, Jonathan Forsythe and Kaylee Healy.
Viewing will be held Tuesday, July 15 th @ Heinz Funeral Home in Inverness beginning at 10:00 am, with service immediately following @ 11:00am. Flowers accepted, Donations may also be made in her memory to First Lutheran Church and HPH Hospice.
