Maria Ferraro

Maria Pia Ferraro, 79, of Citrus Springs, Florida went to be with The Lord on Friday, November 3, 2017 at her home.  Pia was born on November 9, 1937 in Canicatti, Italy, daughter of Salvatore and Josephine Bordonaro.  She and her husband were owners of Ferraro Bakery in Long Island, NY.  Pia moved to Citrus Springs in 2007 from West Palm Beach, FL.  She was catholic.

Pia was preceded in death by her son, Luigi Ferraro, daughter, Luisa Ferraro, and brother Phillip Bordonaro.  Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Calogero “Charlie” Ferraro of Citrus Springs, FL; four daughters, Maria Rita Ingoglia of Shirley, NY, Josephine Ferraro of West Palm Beach, FL, Liliana DeJesus and husband JR of Lakeworth, FL, and Silvana Ferraro of Lecanto, FL; eleven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

The family of Mrs. Ferraro will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Heinz Funeral Home.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 550 US Hwy. 41 S, Inverness, FL.  Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Coram, NY.  Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness, FL.
