Martha Obringer

Martha Obringer, 73, of Hernando, Florida, passed away at home on December 10, 2019.  She was born on April 14, 1946 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Paul and Alma Koontz.

Mrs. Obringer worked as a teacher in the public school system. In 2001, she moved to Hernando, FL from Westminster, MA. She was a member of St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Lecanto. She loved Disney and spending time with her friends from her Book Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents.  Survivors include her husband, William Obringer of Hernando, FL; two sons, Paul Obringer and his wife Marci of Houston, TX, and Alan Obringer and his wife Katie of Celebration, FL; three sisters, Dorothy Camus of Pittsburgh, PA, Sandra Koontz and Carol Hannon both of Matthews, NC.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 13, 2019 at St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Lecanto. The family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the Heinz Funeral Home in Inverness. Interment will be at 10:30 AM, Monday, December 16, 2019 at Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA.  In lieu of flowers please make Memorial Donations to the Moffitt Cancer Center at www.moffit.org or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at www.lls.org.
