Precious wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Melanie Lynn Starkey went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 23, 2016. The beloved daughter of Ralph and Rosella Payne of Lecanto, FL. She was 49 years old, born in Cleveland, OH on December 22, 1966. She is survived by her parents and husband Carl Starkey Jr. of Ocala, FL, son Frank Serenda of Ocala, FL, daughter Stacie Serenda of Ocala, FL and daughter Crystal Serenda of Ocala, FL. Two grandsons Corey 6 years old and Colton 5 months old. The beloved sister of Kevin (Jenny) Payne of McIntosh, FL, Edward (Judy) Payne of Brunswick, OH, Delma (Kevin) Frederick of Ocala, FL and Christina Payne of Lecanto, FL. Sister in law to Dick and Patty Barnett of Spotsylvania, VA. Sister in law to Kim and David Osters of Old Brooklyn, OH. She was Aunt to Anthony Fredrick of Orlando, FL, Billy Frederick of Ocala, FL, Isaac Payne of Brunswick, OH, Brandy Kozlowski of Cleveland, OH, Christopher Kozlowski of Brunswick, OH, Amy and Dominic Lapore of Fredericksburg, VA. She was preceded in death by her nephew Adam Lee Frederick of South Shore, KY. She loved all of them. Melanie Lynn loved being wife, mother and grandmother and loved all her family dearly. She had lots of aunts, cousins and friends that will miss her so much. She loved her baby dog Sheba. She loved to cook, do puzzles, the outdoors, going to air shows and watching the Thunder Birds fly. She loved everything to do with Betty Boop, like making things from plastic canvas and yard and giving to others. She loved panda bears and the color blue. She was a beautiful person that was loving and caring to everyone that she met. The holiday she loved the most was Christmas because of her Lord Jesus Christ. The family wants no flowers but to please give all donations to Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast of Lecanto, FL. Funeral services will be taken care of by Heinz Funeral Home in Inverness, FL. Pastor Dairold Rushing of the First Assembly of God in Inverness, FL to be officiating the funeral. Graveside interment will follow at the Good Shephard Memorial Gardens on S.W. 20 th St in Ocala, FL. The Bible tells us to rejoice at death. We are rejoicing with Melanie on moving on over to live with her Lord Jesus Christ.
