Pamela Parsley

Pamela Jo Parsley, 63, of Lecanto died on January 8, 2018 at Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala, FL.  Pamela was born on June 18, 1954 in Portsmouth, OH, daughter of William and Ena Mae Riggs.  After the death of her parents, she was adopted by her uncle and aunt, Robert and Charlotte Rhodes. She loved to cook and was named “Cook of the Week” in the Portsmouth Daily Times. Pamela was a member of Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene.  She moved to Lecanto in 2016 from Wheelerburg, OH.

Mrs. Parsley was preceded in death by her birth parents and adoptive father.  Survivors include her husband of 43 years, James R. Parsley of Lecanto, FL; her adoptive mother, Charlotte Geraldine (Rhodes) Weeks “Nanny” of Wheelersburg, OH; three children, James J. Parsley and wife Erica of Minford, OH, Jessica Spriggs and husband Mark of Lecanto, FL, and Katie Lynn Stieg and husband Joel of Pickerington, OH; brothers, Timothy Riggs and wife Debi of Bradenton, FL, Mark Riggs and wife Cathy of Durant, IA, and Robert Rhodes and wife Terri of Southbend, IN;  sister Nancy Brisker and husband Charles of Wheelersburg, OH; seven grandchildren, Darian Lisath, Aiden Parsley, Malia Parsley, Tré Spriggs, Olivia Spriggs, Elijah Steig and Elizabeth Stieg.  There will be a Celebration of Life service on January 26, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene, 12138 Gallia Pike, Wheelersburg, OH 45694.
