Peter Naranjo

Peter W. Naranjo(Pete) 86, of Hernando, FL died on October 10, 2016 at Hospice of Citrus, Nature Coast Hospice House in Lecanto, FL.   Pete was born on March 2, 1930 in New York City, NY.  He was preceded in death by his parents Pedro and Regina Naranjo and his brother Charles Naranjo.    He and his wife Pat moved to Hernando, Florida in 1992 from Nashua New Hampshire.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Patricia (Pat) Naranjo of Hernando, FL; five children, Donna Paulsen and her husband Tim of Bethpage, NY, Richard Naranjo and his wife Wendy of Santa Clarita, CA, Cyndi Cornwell and husband Doug of Lindenhurst, NY, Edward Naranjo and his wife Nancy of Jacksonville, FL, and Fr. Peter Naranjo of St. Mary’s Parish, Orange, MA; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

Pete was retired from Kollsman Instrument Corp. of Merrimack, NH where he was employed as an Electronic Engineer before moving to Florida.  He also worked for Landmark Realty in Inverness, FL.

Pete was a member of West Citrus Elks Lodge #2693 in Homosassa, FL; a member of the Florida State Elks Association and was Past District Advisor of the West Central District, FL.   He was Past State President of New Hampshire, P.D.D.G.E.R and PER.

He was a member of St. Scholastica RC Church in Lecanto, FL since 1992 where served many years as an usher.

Visiting hours for Peter will be held at Heinz Funeral Home from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with the Elks Eleventh Hour Memorial service beginning at 3:30 pm and evening hours from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on October 18, 2016.  A rosary and Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 pm.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday October 19 ^th , 2016 at St. Scholastica Church in Lecanto, FL.  Father Jose Tejada will preside.

Interment will be at a future date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Hospice of Citrus County and the Nature Coast.  Memorial envelopes will be provided at the Heinz Funeral Home, 2507 Hwy 44 West, Inverness, FL
