Richard Schaw

Richard “Ricky” Schaw, born November 12, 1958, lost his courageous battle with cancer on April 22, 2017.  Rick was known by his many friends for his awesome culinary skills and abilities, as well as his generosity with feeding all of the members of the neighborhood!  Rick moved from Long Island, NY, to Temple Terrace, FL, as a young child.  Prior to relocating to Citrus County, Ricky spent many years living, and working, on the beaches of Pinellas County and Key West.  He was a true professional in the hospitality industry, and was one of the “most-requested” servers at the various establishments where he worked.

Ricky was a kind-hearted, fun-loving man, and was almost always seen with a large smile on his face…when he wasn’t laughing!  He loved the holidays, show tunes, and was always missed by those who knew and loved him.

Rick leaves behind his mother, Ann Schaw Parry; his brothers, Thomas Schaw (wife Jessica) and Richard Dittmar (wife Michelle); his sister, Susan Hale (husband Craig), as well as nephews Peter, Albert, and  Matthew, and his niece, Tawny.

The family of Mr. Schaw will receive friends on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Heinz Funeral Home.  Eulogies will begin at 1:00 p.m.  Memorials may be given to Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, P.O.
