Rosemary T. Slaymaker, 88, of Inverness, Florida, died on January 29, 2019 in Lecanto, while under the care of Vitas Hospice. Rosemary was born on November 14, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York the daughter of the late Edward C. and Mary E. Nagle. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Slaymaker; brother, Thomas J. Nagle, known in religion as Brother Roger Nagle, O.S.F. and sister, Marjorie F. Nagle; and one grandchild.
Rosemary moved to Inverness in 1977. Rosemary was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness.
Rosemary was survived by three daughters, Barbara A. Arthur and her husband Albert of Stowe, Massachusetts, Jane P. Greco of Westlake, Ohio, Patricia A. Vitt and her husband Jon of Buford, Georgia; three sons, William R. Slaymaker and his wife Ellen of Ormond Beach, Florida, Thomas E. Slaymaker and his wife Kelly of Hernando, Florida and Robert J. Slaymaker and his wife Anissa of Floral City, Florida; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to Vitas Healthcare formerly known as Hospice of Citrus County and the Nature Coast.
Rosemary’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Heinz Funeral Home, Inverness, Florida. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 550 US Highway 41 S., Inverness, Florida. Rosemary will be laid to rest next to her husband at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
