Samuel Whiting

Samuel H. Whiting  Sr, 80, of Hernando, FL, died on October 29, 2013 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, FL Sam was born on Dec. 4, 1932 in Glens Falls, NY, the son of Herbert and Ruth Whiting.  He was a US Army veteran serving in Korea. Sam was an Advertising Executive with CBS and News America in New York City.                                                                    He moved to Hernando, FL in 1996 from Willingboro, NJ.  He was a generous member  and philanthropic of the Citrus Hills “BGA” .

Sam was preceded in death by his wife Joan and his son Mark.  Survivors include his children; Deborah Flacksenburg and husband Gary of Hernando, FL, Samuel H. Whiting Jr and his wife Susan of Coppell, TX, John Whiting of Hernando, FL, Judith Modica and her husband Luigi of Kings Park, NY, daughter in law Debbie Whiting of Delran, NJ, 15 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.      Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness, FL.
