Terrance M. Went, 77, of Floral City, Florida, formerly of Elkhart, Indiana, Constantine and Sturgis, Michigan, passed away at home November 2, 2017. Terry was born in Mishawaka, Indiana to, the late John Sr. & Valeria Went on April 11, 1940.
Terry graduated from Constantine High School with the class of 1958. He married Sandra (Yantzi) in Constantine on June 4, 1961. After marriage he moved to Florida, and returned Michigan in 1965.
Terry and Sandy owned and operated T&S Appliance in Constantine and Sturgis many years prior to returning to Florida again in 1977, where he owned and operated A/C & Appliance Parts in Naples, Florida, then retiring to Floral, City in 1995.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy of Floral City, sons, Terry Jr. (Fay) of Tampa, and Greg, (Colleen) of Woodstock, Georgia, five grandchildren, Britny (Alex Leaf) of Lutz, Florida, Trey Went of Tampa, Zachary, Sidney, and Robert Went of Woodstock, Georgia; one great grandson, Owen Leaf of Lutz, Florida.
Also, one brother, John Went Jr. of Vandalia and Floral City, Florida, two sisters, Melody (Jerry) Ford of Sturgis, Michigan, Cherie (John) Jacobs of Sturgis Michigan, and many nieces and nephews who enjoyed his fine lessons in the art of snipe hunting.
Terry’s passion was electronics and technology. His vast knowledge in electronics and technology helped to choose his life’s path. He also enjoyed woodworking and especially being with his family.
Cremation has taken place and arrangements were conducted by Heinz Funeral Home of Inverness, Florida. A memorial gathering will be at a later date.
