Thomas J. Cassidy, 67, of Lecanto, FL passed away at home on February 18,
2020 surrounded by loving family after a complicated battle with cancer. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, predeceased by his parents Thomas and Dolores Cassidy, as well as his brother Timothy Cassidy. He was a tug boat captain in the Maritime Industry. He retired to Lecanto
in 2016 from his longtime home in Cape May, NJ.
Leaves behind his wife, Paula Cassidy of Lecanto, FL; three sons, Thomas
Cassidy of Cape May, NJ, Francis Cassidy of Philadelphia, PA, and Brian Cassidy and his
wife Christine, three grandchildren, Audrey, Brian and Heidi all of Cape May, NJ; two sisters, Karen Stratoti and her husband Steve of Egg Harbor, NJ, and Susan Arpa and her husband Lou of Cape May, NJ, as well as countless other friends and family members.
Memorial services for Tom will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Calvary Church, 2728 E. Harley Street, Inverness.
In lieu of flowers, a cause dear to his heart is Shriner's Hospital for Children.
