Thomas Ellis

Thomas D. Ellis, 80, of Bushnell, FL died on December 11, 2016 at his home under the loving care of his family.  Thomas was born on April 5, 1936 in Michigan City, IN, son of Jay and Isabelle Ellis.  He owned Ellis Electric in Argos, IN.  Tom moved to Bushnell in 1986 from Argos, IN.  He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Spring Hill, FL.  Tom volunteered for many years for Cornerstone Hospice in Tavares.

Mr. Ellis was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Ellis in 2008.  He was a great and loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his survivors including his six children, Katherine Nicholson and husband Harold of Inverness, FL, Susan Henry and husband Tony of Inverness, FL, Sandra Hill and husband Timothy of Eustis, FL, Douglas Ellis of Brooksville, FL, Patricia Waitkevich and husband Kevin of Spring Hill, FL, and Debra Luecke and husband Michael of Brooksville, FL; three brothers, John Ellis and wife Dorothy of IL, Richard Ellis and wife Erna of IN, and Jerry Ellis and wife Barbara of AR; two sisters, Peggy Tilden and husband Herb of IN and Nancy Kemeny and husband John of UT; twelve grandchildren, Andrea, Michael, Teresa, Scott, Stephen, Tanika, Thomas, Jeffrey, Phillip, Pamela, Alicia, and Emily; and one great grandson, Ayden.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Heinz Funeral Home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness, FL.  Interment will follow at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Floral City, FL.  Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness, FL.  heinzfh.com
