Thomas Loerch

Thomas F. Loerch , 83, of Inverness, FL died on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Citrus Memorial Hospital.  He was born on June 23, 1931 in New York, NY, the son of Edward and Anne Loerch.  Thomas was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.  He was a Metropolitan Transit Authority officer in New York.  He moved to Inverness in 2000 from Bay Shore, Long Island, NY.  He was catholic.  Thomas was a Life Member of the American Legion.  He loved to golf.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Delores Loerch.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Katherine Loerch of Inverness, FL; sons Wayne Loerch and wife Lynne of Millington, TN, Robert Loerch and wife Christina of Allentown, PA, and George Loerch and wife Karen of Bethlehem, PA; daughter Janice Loerch of Palm Bay, FL; stepsons Michael Hurley of Los Angeles, CA and James Hurley and wife Barbara Ann of Apopka, FL; 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Mr. Loerch’s family will receive friends at the Heinz Funeral Home in Inverness on Monday, December 15, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness, FL.  Interment with military honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
