Victoria Ross

Victoria Ross, 93, of Inverness Florida went to heaven on March 30th, 2025. She was born the daughter of Rosario and Carmella Ponte and the sister of Tommy and Joey Ponte.

Her faith in Jesus was a great source of strength when, as a young woman, she lost her first husband, Charlie Anolfoto, to a heart attack and their baby daughter, Terry, to cancer a few months later.

A few years later she met and married Lee Murry Ross, a pilot with Eastern Airlines. They settled near Homestead, Florida where Murry flew passenger planes out of Miami International Airport. God blessed them with two daughters Ravella in 1962 and Rondella in 1966. Sadly Murry died in 1983.

Vicki loved art and she was very talented. She painted, did flower arrangements, and created miniature scenes in items such as teapots and emu eggs. She also played the piano and attended the School of Performing Arts as a child in New York City.

She was a member of the Garden Club of Miami where her flower arrangements earned her many awards and invitations to Epcot Center to display her designs. She also traveled to several countries with the garden club.

In 1999, she moved to inverness, Florida as did her two daughters Ravella and Rondella. She joined the Garden Club of Inverness to continue her love of horticulture.

She also joined Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness and a Bible study group at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Beverly Hills. She often led the group there. Her unwavering faith, kindness, and wisdom touched many as did her sense of humor.

Vickie leaves behind her two daughters Ravella and Rondella, and two brothers, Tommy and Joey Ponte, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There will be a mass held on Saturday April 12th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in her memory.
