Virginia A. Pike , 81, Inverness, FL died on May 16, 2014 at her home under the loving care of her family and Hospice Of Citrus County. Virginia was born on May 29, 1932 in Wakefield, RI, the daughter of Roy and Lyla Greene. She was a Seventh Day Adventist School teacher. Virginia and her husband moved to Inverness in 2001 from Orlando, FL. She was a member of the Eden Gardens Seventh Day Adventist Church , Inverness, FL. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Pauline L. Samscott, brothers James and David and sister Barbara. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Richard L. Pike of Inverness, FL; daughters, Elizabeth Hernley and her husband Donald of Gore, VA, MaryAnn Formolo of Inverness, FL; brother Everett Greene of TN; grandchildren Anthony and Michael Formolo and Christopher Hernley; great grandchildren, Jasmine Samscott, Ellie Formolo and Lexie Hernley.
Virginia’s family will receive friends at the Eden Gardens Seventh Day Adventist Church from 1:00 pm to the hour of service on Wednesday, May 21, 2014. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm. .
