Virginia M. Postadan, 88, of Inverness, FL, passed away on February 18, 2021. She was born on November 11, 1932 in Iloilo City, Philippines, she was one of eleven siblings of the late Julio Miravite and Emerenciana Aclaro. She was an Accounting graduate of Women’s University in Manila, Philippines. Virginia met Romulo while preparing for her CPA examination in Manila. They courted for several years and in 1962 they married and started a family together.
Before leaving the Philippines, Virginia was a VP of Finance of Retelco and was an active member of the Catholic Action of Mary in Quezon City. In 1976, She migrated to the USA with her four children and her niece, Remedios Miravite. The family settled in Jersey City, New Jersey. While living in New Jersey, Virginia attended St. Mary’s Parish in Jersey City, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the Catholic Action of Mary. As a pious woman, she served in the choir, eucharistic minister and a devoted member of Iloilo Society of America, Inc.
After relocating to Florida in May of 1994, Virginia joined Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Catholic Women’s Club and a Eucharistic Minister.
Virginia is survived by her husband, Deacon Romulo D. Postadan; her children, Reynaldo Postadan and his wife Maria, Rolando Postadan, Velissa Postadan-Nelson and her husband Robert and Romstead Postadan and his wife Yvette; brother, Carlito Miravite; as well as nine grandchildren, Ryan, Raymond and his wife Maryann, Randy, Raymarcus, Marcus, Eric, Joshua, Jada and Jalyn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 am, on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Lecanto. Interment will follow at Fero Memorial Gardens in Beverly Hills, FL.
