Virginia Tambasco

Virginia T. Tambasco, 80, of Homosassa, FL died on January 22, 2015 at Cypress Cove Care Center in Crystal River, FL.  Virginia was born on April 26, 1934 in Bronx, NY, daughter of Fredrick and Marguarette Roland.  She moved to Homosassa in 1993 from West Berne, NY.  Virginia was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Crystal River, FL.

Virginia was extremely devoted to her family and friends, especially to her husband Donald, whom she solely cared for until his death in 2012. Also proceeded in death by her son Thomas.  Virginia was especially fond of her large family gatherings and holidays at their home in West Berne New York. She was a great baker and cook and loved to share her creations with family, neighbors, and friends. Survivors include her daughters, Thomasina Tambasco of Voorheesville, NY, Nanci Gaioni of Altamont, NY, and Sharon Tambasco of Coram, NY; sons, Brian Tambasco of Homosassa, FL and Daniel Tambasco of Homosassa, FL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Tambasco will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Heinz Funeral Home in Inverness.  The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until the hour of service.  Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness, FL.
