William Metzendorf

William P. Metzendorf was called home to be with the Lord on January 19, 2018. He holds a special place in the hearts of those he met. He was a loving, caring husband of 61 years to Ann, father to Diane, Bill and Bob, and their spouses Thomas, Suzanne, and Marguerite, whom he loved with his whole heart. He was uncle to Elena, Peter, Michael, Albert and Donna.  Bill was a doting grandfather to Thomas, Matthew, Katherine, Meghan and Erin.
Bill was an active Rotarian, being past president of the Farmingdale, NY club, past District Governor, current member of the Inverness Rotary, and a Paul Harris Fellow.  He was also the past president of Habitat for Humanity in Citrus County.  He will be loved and missed everyday but never forgotten.  Rest in Peace Bill. Love you always and forever.

A memorial service for Mr. Metzendorf will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Heinz Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of service.  Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.  In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Habitat for Humanity of Citrus County, P.O.
