Yolonda L. Pritchard, 93, of Beverly Hills, FL, died on July 29, 2014 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness. Yolonda was born on October 23, 1920 in Portsmouth, OH, daughter of Lester and Esther Finney. While at college in Tampa, FL during WWII, she attended a USO dance at MacDill Air Force Base where she met her future husband, Wes. She graduated from the University of Tampa and later became a commercial artist and public school Art teacher in Manatee County and also taught portrait painting at Manatee Community College. Yolonda and her husband Wes were the original art directors for the South Florida Museum and Bishop Planetarium in Bradenton, FL. After living on the beach on Anna Maria Island for 35 years, they retired from their commercial art careers and moved to Citrus County, FL.in 1982. They were long-time members of St. Anne Episcopal Church, Crystal River, FL. Yolonda was predeceased by her husband, Major Charles W. Pritchard. Survivors include her daughters; Lynn Knight and Vicki Pritchard, both of Beverly Hills, FL, grandsons, Andrew J. Knight Jr., Cocoa, FL, and Eric Knight, Costa Rica, nine great grandchildren and three faithful dogs, who will also miss her very much. A memorial service will be held in Cocoa Beach, FL at a later date. Arrangements by Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness, FL.
